Santa Nella & Pea Soup

Today we left San Francisco and headed east over the San Mateo Bridge toward Santa Nella to begin our trip down through the Central Valley to visit campgrounds.  We started the day in the low 60’s and arrived in Santa Nella with temperatures hovering at 107 degrees.  What a difference!  It is also windy here.  The surrounding hills as we came down I-5 were golden and dry looking.
But even so, we enjoyed the trip.  After settling in at our RV Park we drove a mile over to Pea Soup Andersen’s for lunch.  It was the usual really good pea soup with a few minutes spent enjoying the great gift shop.  I always enjoy their offerings.  Whoever chooses their inventory does a great job.

Snoopy is adjusting to air conditioning-a switch from the heater for weeks.  We have reasonable Wi-Fi here, so yesterday and today I have been able to share with you.  Thanks for your patience after almost a month of sketchy service with a week of me being ill thrown in for good measure just before we got to San Francisco.  We’ll be here one more night then we move easterly to Chowchilla.

And that is the way we are tonight…happy and loving life.
