The fog crept up the valley between us and Monterey (sixty miles away) and the day started off looking as if we might get some much needed rain, but it was an illusion as the "clouds" drifted westerly back down the valley by 10 am. The wind seems to be a continual factor here, especially we are told from April to October which is great for keeping the temperature down in the summer months. Ultimately, the owner is building an air museum here along with a hotel, shopping center and airstrip. It will be fun to see how this resort develops.
We are now about one third of the way through the parks we plan to see between now and late July. We are enjoying California very much. It will make it harder to leave when the time comes.
Well, off for the dreaded exercise portion of the day!
